Who are We?

Our Purpose: By having Jesus' love for people, we will honor God, cause the lost to be saved, the saved to mature, and the mature to serve.
Follow the Plan of Salvation:

Step 1.  Realize that God loves you
God loves you and He wants you to have peace with him and to have joy in life.  The Bible reminds us…
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."   John 3:16
Peace and life come from Jesus, who said…"I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly."   John 10:10 God wants to have a relationship with you and all the people in the world.  God wants you to have peace and to enjoy life to the fullest.  If that's true, why are most people not having this experience?

Step 2. Realize you are separated from God
God did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him, but gave us a free will and a freedom of choice between good and bad in all things.  We chose to disobey God and go our own willful way.  We still make this choice today.  This results in separation from God.  The Bible says…
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."   Romans 3:23 And,
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."   Romans 6:23

Man's attempt to get right with God
Throughout time, man tried many different ways to get right with God.  Being a helpful neighbor, going to church, or giving money to charities -- there is nothing wrong with these things, but the Bible makes it clear that none of them can earn us God's forgiveness or re-establish our relationship with Him.  The Bible says…
"There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death."   Proverbs 14:12

Step 3. Believe that God has provided the way.
God has provided the way through Jesus Christ and the cross.  Jesus suffered, died, and rose from the dead, paying the penalty for our sins.  Jesus makes it possible to be reconciled with God.  The Bible says…
"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."   Romans 5:8

Step 4. Decide to trust Jesus Christ
We need to accept what Christ has done for us.  We should believe that He died for us, in our place, and He rose again.  We need to repent, turning away from sins.  We should be obedient to Christ, and we should be baptized.   The Bible says…
"Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.  And you will receive the  gift of the Holy Spirit…"   Acts 2:38

DO IT NOW!
There is no reason to delay!  As soon as a person decides to accept Christ, they can and should be baptized.  The Bible says…
"Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand we added to their number that day."   Acts 2:41

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God (II Timothy 3:15-17, II Peter 1:21).

* We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30).

* We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:34-35); His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning death (I Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9); His resurrection (John 11:25, I Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19); His personal return to earth in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11-16).

* We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of the human nature, and that all are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ, and that only by God's grace through faith alone are we saved (John 3:16-19; 5:24, Romans 3:23; 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5).

* We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those who are not unto the resurrection of eternal torment (John 5:28-29).

* We believe in the spiritual unity of the believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9, I Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28).

* We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:13-14, I Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30; 5:18).

* We believe that we as Christians are examples of the love of God in this world. It is this (agape) love that we desire to possess and without which we have no right to call ourselves Christians (I John 4:16-17).

* We believe it is the mandate of the whole Church to go into the whole world and to preach the Gospel to every living creature. (Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19-20
